Freddy Coello (Quito, 1968). His venture into art began at an early age, watching his father Francisco, as he masterfully created forms and universes full of color. Brushes, paints and canvases are etched in his mind as part of his earliest memories.
In addition to his permanent artistic training under the tutelage of his teacher, he studied design and art. For 30 years he has carried out more than 400 graphic projects between editorial, corporate, photographic, furniture and museum collections, among which the Weilbauer Museum of the Catholic University in Quito stands out.
His passion for art has led him to become a multidisciplinary artist with complementary training at the National Dance Institute and the Patio de Comedias Theater School in Quito.
He was a professor at the Central University of Ecuador, University of the Americas and the Metropolitan Institute of Design.
He has participated three times in the Beijing International Art Biennale (2015, 2017 and 2019), the International Fiber Art Biennale From Lausanne to Beijing (2016, 2018 and 2020), the Salon des Beaux Arts at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris (2019), the Shanghai Art Museum and the Yan Huang Art Museum in Beijing in 2020, among its most important exhibitions.
